Video — The Dream Team on the Grand Prix Final: ‘Perfection’

JW_GPF_02_crop1The Dream Team begins their GPF coverage. Screencap from the NBC broadcast.

ICYMI, NBC’s broadcast of the awesomeness that was this season’s Grand Prix Final was yesterday at 4 pm—yes, a week after the actual competition, but reliving Yuzuru Hanyu’s brilliance multiple times is really a great way to spend any afternoon. Fortunately NBC has lately taken to uploading individual programs from their broadcasts with Johnny and Tara’s commentary, so below are the vids they have made available, plus bonus video of the Dream Team’s intro. Please take a moment to “wallow in the perfection that was the event,” as Johnny said, through these clips whilst we await full video of the entire broadcast. [UPDATE: full video of the entire broadcast now available at the end of this post!]

PROGRAMMING NOTE: The Dream Team will return Saturday, January 23, 2016, 3 pm ET with LIVE coverage of US Nats on NBC!

The broadcast included a look at Yuzu’s record-breaking short program from the GP Final. This video and the next one were tweeted to Johnny and Tara after the broadcast by a Japanese fan who said, “Thank @JohnnyGWeir & @taralipinski for your affectionate commentary on Yuzu!! ;-)”

Someone needs to mark this occasion – Johnny in a tie and Terry NOT in a tie. Plus they all coordinated.
